I have tried EVERY THING I can find online checking my date and time logging out of iCloud on all my devices, restarting and logging back on resetting Keychain on my devices and so much more. I don't understand why my Apple ID suddenly stopped working for iMessage and Facetime as soon as I changed my password? ![]() Try again." I have also tried logging in to Messages and Facetime using a friend's Apple ID and it worked fine. After updating iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch to new version of iOS like iOS 8, lot of users can’t login into iMessage or FaceTime. Then it will say "An error occurred during activation. However, every time I enter my Apple ID and new password into Messages and and Facetime, it says "This Mac can’t connect to iCloud because of a problem with *my Apple ID*" although I know my Mac has connected to iCloud as everything else is normal. I have logged into iCloud like normal on my Mac and the calendars, etc. I was able to log in on my iPhone fine and they are working like normal. ![]() I keep getting the message that it cant get configured at the moment but iMessage and FaceTime is activated on both my iPhone 5S and my iPad 2 and works like a charm there. I cant log in to either one of them on my MacBook Pro (OS X Mavericks 10.9.4). There are a few things we need to get working before login to iCloud. ![]() But as soon as I changed it, Messages and Facetime on my Mac wouldn't let me log back in using my Apple ID. Like the title says, my iMessage and FaceTime is not working. In order to get iMessage and FaceTime to work on Big Sur, we need to have a valid account with Apple. I had just been prompted to change my Apple ID password as it wasn't strong enough, so I did.
